TAMS Tournament

Held this past school year in February, TAMS Tournament, which is hosted by JETS and MAO, will be much earlier.  This competition depends on the commitment and participation of other schools.  Please invite your former high schools to compete.

What they need to know (right now):
    - Date: November 15, 3008
    - Location: University of North Texas, Denton, TX
    - Tests in algebra through post-calculus, biology, chemistry, and physics will be given.

UNT Planetarium

The planetarium in the Environmental Science building has several different shows over the school  year.  Currently, "Here Comes the Sun" is showing.  JETS hosts several group trips to the planetarium.

Family Weekend

This past year at family weekend, JETS built a 10-foot tall trebuchet that launched a few pumpkins.  We are considering building several hovercrafts this year.  We'd love to hear your suggestions.

Shack-a-thon

Hosted by Habitat for Humanity, this is a UNT event that we have participated in for the past two years.   Clubs build a cardboard shack to stay in for one night.  This past year, we constructed a star destroyer and a millennium falcon.  The year before, JETS constructed a buckyball.

JETS Barbeque

As a nice way to end year, JETS host a barbeque at North Lakes park.  There's awesome food (thanks to Jeremy, our prez), rockets, water balloons, and dry ice bombs.

Factory Tours, Cardboard Boat Racing, and everything else

In past years, JETS has proposed many events.  Let us know your ideas.
